Capabilities
Centeye develops application-specific vision technology spanning custom mixed-signal silicon, miniature sensor assemblies, embedded vision systems, and supporting processing. The examples below illustrate the kinds of technology Centeye can develop, adapt, and integrate for customer requirements.
Architecture, packaging, interfaces, optics, and processing can be tailored to the application and the customer’s larger product or platform.
Vision Chips
Centeye designs mixed-signal vision chips for specialized machine-perception applications. The focal plane can incorporate application-specific sensing, unconventional pixel arrangements, flexible or selective sampling, direct addressing, sparse readout concepts, and analog or mixed-signal processing where appropriate.
This makes it possible to change the sensing representation itself rather than accepting the data flow and processing requirements of a conventional full-frame camera architecture. Logarithmic and high-dynamic-range approaches can also support useful sensing across difficult illumination conditions.

Sensor Assemblies
Centeye integrates custom sensing silicon with optics, electronics, embedded processors, interfaces, and packaging. Architectures can range from modular sensor heads to tightly integrated assemblies, including mono or stereo configurations where the application calls for them.
The design can be adapted around customer mechanical and electrical constraints, including low-SWaP requirements, high-dynamic-range operation, compact or remote sensor-head concepts, and application-specific interfaces.

Integrated Systems
Centeye can combine sensor heads, embedded processing, firmware, interfaces, task-specific perception, packaging, and system integration into an application-specific embedded vision system.

Supporting Technology
Centeye develops application-specific firmware, signal processing, computer vision, optical flow, stereo and ranging concepts, tracking, flexible-acuity methods, selective acquisition, simulation, and integration support around the sensing hardware—not simply as generic software applied to a conventional camera stream.
Vertically Integrated Design
Cross-layer co-design allows a sensing limitation to change the focal-plane architecture, a bandwidth constraint to change the sampling strategy, or a processing constraint to be addressed at the sensor rather than by adding a larger downstream processor.
